Rooms

The Point currently has several rooms that can be rented out for events. Each room has the adjustability to either be a private, smaller space, or a larger and more social venue. Because we provide tables, chairs, and other event essentials, our rooms can be designed in a limitless amount of ways. If there is something that you wish to be included that we do not offer, The Point is flexible with design and can work with you to fulfill your needs. ADDITIONAL SERVICES

 

Maker Space: If you wish to host a teambuilder event, The Point offers Maker Space! Maker Space is comprised of five creative spaces providing access to industrial technologies not commonly available.  Maker Space event projects start at $20.00 per person and each person will be able to take their project home.

Marker Space has design studios with latex cutters, a rapid prototyping room with 3-D printers, woodshop, metal shop, computer lab and an advanced manufacturing lab with a plasma cutter. Each room has multiple machines and resources members can learn how to use in order to create personalized projects. From engraved cups, to 3-D plastic models, to wooden signs, the only limit to what you can create is your imagination.

Tech Support: With each external rental of event space, The Point provides free built in technology for our clients. Our staff will help you get your AV up and running, with access to everything from projectors, to jumbo sized monitors, to microphones. Our staff is here to help make your event as stress free as possible.

INTERNAL EVENTS

To be considered an internal event means that the event is solely for Otterbein students, faculty, alumni and/or staff. No outside parties are involved. Since internal events are not charged for the space reserved, those hosting events are required to set up and tear down event furniture and props, as well as taking out the trash and cleaning as needed. It is expected that the room is left how it was upon arrival.

CATERING

Along with designing the ideal event space, The Point also offers catering services to our clients. From a coffee and cookie station to a full customizable menu, we can provide several different food offerings. Our friendly and efficient staff will set up and tear down the display, so you can enjoy your event hassle free. Below is our basic catering menu, but we are happy to customize a menu for your event. We have a full-service kitchen on site and we can prepare anything from heavy hors d’oeuvres to fancy dessert bars.
